The Pine Creek Rail Trail runs along route 414 through this section, 1.8 miles to Black Walnut Bottom, a nice pull off, park and picnic spot along the creek, then 2.7 miles to Ross Run and then 3.1 miles to the Cammal Comfort Station. I told them that they could get a fine meal in an air conditioned restaurant at the Blackwell Hotel, and the whole bunch of us were disappointed that the owners had taken several days off and there was no food of any sort to be found in Blackwell. You will be impressed. $88 avg/night. We averaged 6 to 10 minutes a mile depending on stops. It is a jewel well known as a base for visiting fisherman and hunters.
